BeerPairing: four evenings to enhance the aperitif with beer

We present the BeerPairing cycle, a programme that Poggiana – Birra in Fermento has dedicated to Horeca professionals who want to enhance the quality of their aperitifs with craft beer. Four separate events, each with a specific theme, which together offer a comprehensive journey through the region, pairing techniques, creativity and new service perspectives.

A journey that shows how beer, if understood and appreciated, can become a key player in any gastronomic offering.

Beer and Venetian tradition — 6 October 2025

The first evening is a tribute to the local area. Participants explore the pairings between beer and traditional Venetian cicchetti, going beyond the usual combinations. From the savoury flavours of typical cured meats to the softness of baked goods, the tasting highlights how different styles of beer can enhance local flavours and convey the authentic character of regional cuisine in a glass.

Beer and tasty ideas for the holidays — 17 November 2025

The second evening focuses on the festive season. Creative finger food, seasonal ingredients and elegant dishes accompany a tasting session centred on unusual combinations, textures and contrasts designed for Christmas and New Year’s Eve. An event full of ideas for revamping your restaurant’s menu at one of the most important times of the year.

Beer and cheese — 9 February 2026

The third event focuses on one of the most fascinating combinations: beer and cheese. The bitterness, sweetness, carbonation and toasted notes of various styles are paired with cheeses of different intensities and ages. The evening provides technical tools and ideas that can be immediately applied to create both harmonious and deliberately contrasting combinations.

Beer and cold cuts from Veneto — 9 March 2026

The end of the cycle brings the focus back to Venetian tradition, this time through a selection of local cured meats: sopresse, pancetta, coppa and other specialities. Participants explore how the aromatic profiles of beer can accompany or balance fattiness, spiciness and savouriness, transforming a simple platter into a complete taste experience.

BeerPairing is a practical and concrete training course that offers bartenders, restaurateurs and Horeca operators immediate tools to enhance the aperitif and make beer a distinctive element of their offering.
